WMNGI  Managing Cisco Wireless LANs Class

wmngi class

This class will teach you  how to use the (CUWN) Cisco Unified Wireless Network  management environment in order to configure, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize the network. During this the student will have extensive lab exercises.

Course Covers

  •     CUWN management components to help resolve network management challenges
  •     How to configure the NCS
  •     How Cisco Unified Wireless Network management components can resolve today's network     management challenges
  •     Configure Cisco Prime Infrastructure
  •     Configure the guest access feature set
  •     Integrate the Cisco Prime NCS and the MSE to provide CAS and track mobile clients
  •     Troubleshoot to isolate various common Cisco Prime Infrastructure failures
  •     Troubleshooting methodology and the various tools available to gather and assess system data to isolate various common NCS failures
  •     Monitor wired devices, Cisco ISE, wireless controllers, APs, rogue APs, ad hoc events, and Cisco CleanAir heat maps, charts, and reports

Completion of the CUWN course is a required prerequisite prior to attending WMNGI. The learner also is strongly recommended to have a basic knowledge of the following:

  •     Basic networking principles
  •     Basic knowledge about RF
  •     General network management
  •     Cisco Lifecycle Services
